Horticultural Sciences, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran Today in the glasshouse cultivation of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum), indeter minate grown cultivars are planted and pruning operations are applied on shrubs. In this experiment, we evaluated the effects of shrub pruning and fruit pruning, on production, among average weight of fruits, number of clusters, number of fruits on shrub, in tomato plants. Three tomato cultivars (cvs.), Akdenis, Dominator and Faraon were submitted to different treatments and repetitions as factorial analysis (3×3×2) at quite randomized plots. This experiment consisted of three factors, first was three cultivars of tomato, second was shrub pruning among remove all of the lateral branches, remaining one cluster and then removing another lateral branches, last factor was the number of fruits on cluster. The results represented that the number of fruits on cluster was uttermost in Faraon cultivar. Average weight of fruits at 1% probability level, and the number of clusters at 5% probability level, showed significant variation in Akdenis cultivar. The shrub pruning didn’t show significant variation in yield efficiency of shrub and the number of clusters, but it showed significant variation at 1% probability level in the number and Average weight of fruits. Also it showed significant variation at 5% probability level in the number of clusters. However Faraon cultivar with pruning 5 fruits in each shrub had uttermost efficiency in yield.
