Abstract

The current paper sought to explore the relationship between teachers’ creativity and their success in classroom. To this end, 289 EFL learners, studying at different English language institutes were asked to fill out English Language Teacher Creativity Scale (ELT-CS) along with Characteristics of Successful EFL Teachers Questionnaire to rate their EFL teachers. The results of the correlational analysis indicated a significant relationship between the two variables in question. T-test results were also significant concerning certain creativity sub-dimensions. The results obtained from regression equations similarly suggested that a couple of creativity dimensions can significantly predict teacher success. Finally, empirical findings were discussed and implications were provided in the context of English language teaching.
