Title : ( Ultimate Strength Analysis of Combined Loaded Stainless Steel Circular Tubes with Hole )

Abstract

In this paper, simulation and analysis of stainless steel circular tubes with various orientation (α) contain elliptical holes under combined loading have been studied by using experimental and finite element method. Also the effect of hole orientation (θ) and hole position (Lo/L ratio) have been investigated on ultimate strength and buckling behavior of circular tubes. For several specimens, buckling test was performed using an In stron 8802 servo-hydraulic machine and the results of experimental tests were compared to numerical results. A very good correlation was observed between numerical simulation and experimental results.
