Abstract

Nanoparticles is one of the most important branches of the nanotechnology. Silver and gold nanoparticles in medicine is very important. In the present study we have tried to synthesis and stabilization of silver and gold nanoparticles on a bed of modified natural polymers Fig (1).Thiol group because of its high electron cloud density is very important for reducing of metal salt and stabilizing of gold and silver nanoparticles. Natural polymers such as cellulose, starch, chitosan and agar have high biocompatibility with the cell body [1]. Therefore, These natural polymers are primarily linked with a spacer containing a terminal thiol group. Then with reduction of hydrogen tetrachloroaurate (HAuCl4) or silver nitrate (AgNO3) by sodium borohydride (NaBH4) gold and silver nanoparticles to be stabilized on the surface-modified natural polymers. Since gold and silver ions are usually biologically incompatible with living cells and tissues of the body, Therefore, the reduction and stabilization of these ions on modified natural polymers Causing reduced of their biological toxicity [2]. Gold nanoparticles are commonly used in the treatment of cancer. The modified polymers containing silver and gold nanoparticles are stabilized can be used as drug carriers for cancer therapyinthe medicaland biological.
