Abstract
In this paper, we consider two independent k-records sequences with the same distribution. We determine the closer k-record values to a spe- cific progressive type-II censored order statistic. With this in mind, we first derive exact expressions for the nearness probability of records in general. Then, we apply the obtained results for uniform distributions and the proba- bility of closeness are derived. Finally numerical calculation are displayed in tables for illustrating the results.
