Abstract

Number of health centers are increasing. Their contest against patient’s attraction is becoming harder and harder. On the other hand, energy price increases due to depletion of fossil fuel sources and it causes increment in health centers costs. Patients should pay part of energy costs, so they prefer a health center with lower energy costs. In addition to energy costs, nowadays environmental issues become important and governments adopted policies to reduce carbon emission. In some policies if the energy use get higher than a threshold, the consumers should pay penalties. Health centers should avoid these penalties, too. In competitive environment between health centers it is essential to find ways to use energy more efficiently. In this paper we propose a mathematical model to use energy more efficiently and minimize the costs of health centers by using Demand Dispatch (DD) concept
