Title : Mirmostafaee, A. K.; Niknam, A. A remark on uniquely remotal sets ( A remark on uniquely remotal sets )
Authors: Seyyed Alireza Kamel Mirmostafaee , Asadollah Niknam ,Abstract
Let X be a Banach space. A bounded subset T of X is said to be uniquely remotal if for every x 2 X there exists a unique qT (x) 2 T with kx − qT (x)k = supy2T kx − yk. It is still open whether uniquely remotal sets are singletons, though this is known for finite-dimensional spaces or compact sets. In this paper this conjecture is shown for l1-sums of Banach spaces and alternative JB-algebras
