Abstract

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a suitable candidate for broadband power line communications (PLC). It has shown that the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of Single Carrier Transmission with Frequency Domain Equalization (SCT-FDE) is close to OFDM in broadband wireless systems. In this paper we investigate the BER performance of SCT employing time and frequency domain decision feedback equalization techniques in PLC. Our simulation results are compared with OFDM systems for different impulsive noise scenarios
