Microstrip antennas (MSAs) offer a number of unique advantages over other types of antennas. In MSA design, it is important to determine the bandwidth of the antenna accurately because it is a critical parameter of a MSA. To calculate the bandwidth of the rectangular microstrip antennas with thin and thick substrates, we present a new method based on the support vector regression (SVR) and Fuzzy C-Mean (FCM). The support vector regression (SVR) is a statistical learning method that generates input-output mapping functions from a set of training data. The bandwidth results obtained using SVR and new proposed SVR are in excellent compliance with the experimental results available in the literature.
