Abstract

In this research three levels of GA (0, 216, 433 μM as spray) and BA (0, 222, 444 μM as spray) and six levels of IBA (0,5,10 μM as just spray and 0,5,10 μM as first pulsing in solution combined with later sprays) were applied in a randomized facto rial design with three replications. The sprays were done three times during plant growth. The results indicate that IBA significantly reduced height and chlorophyll content while increasing Mean floret size, Stem diameter and bulbil number and weight. BA significantly increased Stem diameter and bulbil number and weight. Vase life reduction with the highest GA concentration was its only effect. Interest ingly ANOVA analysis revealed that the control treatment had the highest stem height and unexpectedly none of hormonal combinations yielded any height in creasing effect. Control treatment had the highest chlorophyll content as well. In the other side the IBA5(as dip)GA216BA444 combination caused 44% increase in stem diameter and thecombination of IBA10GA0BA222 increased bulbil number and bulbil weights 5 fold comparing to control treatment which suggests these treatment as a useful in-vivo propagation technique.
