Abstract

When an obstacle closes to a wall, the boundary layer on the wall and flow around the obstacle interact and form a complex flow field. The resulting flow is highly mixed and turbulent. Turbulence models are not modified to handle such a flow field. In this paper a comparison is made between variety of models to find out their capabilities in facing complex environments. Results are reported.
