Abstract

We demonstrate optical regeneration in single mode As2Se3 chalcogenide fibre at 1550nm with 1.2ps pulses, obtaining a nonlinear optical transfer curve at peak power levels below 35W, and find that material dispersion plays a significant role in determining the device performance.
