The purpose of the present research was to examine the relationship between the health status of athle tic facilities and participation of Tehran citizens in physical ex ercises. The population of the research consists of all the athletic facilities of Tehran City. Using stratified and clu ster sampling, 227 indoor facilities and 32 outdoor facilities were selected as sample and the health checklist and cit izens’ participation questionnaire were completed i n these facilities. Then, the collected data was analyzed u sing Pearson correlation test and the results showe d that there is a significant positive relationship between the healt h status of athletic facilities and participation o f the citizens in physical activities (r = 0.128; p = 0.039).
