Abstract

Manipulating molecular scale bio-nanorobots and influencing their behaviour is one of the biggest challenges.This research work introduces one of the possible elements of such nanomachines and further presents the concept of the prefoldin beta subunit from Thermococcus strain KS-1 (prefoldin 1) as a new bio-nanogripper. To confirm this, steered molecular dynamics simulation was employed to actuate protein with external mechanical force. The novelty of this research is utilization of external mechanical forces as gripping tasks. The study proposes a new strategy and architecture to capture and transfer bio-nanocargos of different shapes and sizes.
