Abstract
In Iran, only two genera of the Chirothrips genus-group have previously been recorded, Arorathrips and Chirothrips (Minaei 2013; Minaei & Alichi 2013). A third genus is here recorded from this country, Oelschlaegera, based on specimens of both sexes. This is the first description of a male in this genus.
