چکیده
Aims: In recent years, research has been done into various aspects of cardiovascular risk, while the effect of training and green tea on cardiovascular risk factors less than has been studied. The aim of this study was to influence of effects of eight weeks aerobic training and green tea supplementation on cardiovascular risk factors in inactive overweight women. Materials & Methods: In this semi-experimental study, 40 subjects (age: 40.05±3.44 years and BMI: 27.57±2.92) were selected by convenience sampling. In this study they are divided randomly into 4 equal groups: aerobic training, green tea, aerobic training+ green tea and control groups. Aerobic training program included aerobic trainings up to 45-60 minutes at 65%-75% maximum reserve heart rate, three sessions per week which lasted for 8 weeks. Green tea group 2 hours after each meal brewed 2 g green tea in 100 mil liter every meal during 8 weeks. In Combined group both interventions was done and in this period the control group have not take part in any physical activity. To make intra and between groups comparison, paired sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used. For all statistical comparisons, the level of significance was set at p<0.05. Findings: The mean of the within group in TC (p=0.003) in green tea, aerobic training (p=0.00) and combination group (p=0.00) and TG values of green tea (p=0.021) and aerobic training group (p=0.001) and LDL-C in green tea (p=0.007) and combination group (p=0.004); HDL-C only in aerobic training group (p=0.001); levels of CRP in aerobic (p=0.01) and combination group (p=0.04) have a statistically significant. The average differences in the TC and TG have a statistically significant. Conclusion: Eight weeks of aerobic training, consumption of green tea and especially mix of them with together have similar affected on reduce of cardiovascular risk factors, improving cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of atherosclerosis diseases.
