Abstract
Knowing the interaction between amino acid and dye can be a way to detection. The effect of amino acid, solvents and droplet on nonlinear properties of Methylene Blue dye was studied by Z-scan instrument. Nonlinear absorption coefficient and refractive index for Methylene Blue in the solutions were gotten. The results have proven that the nonlinear absorption depends highly on the interaction of dye with mediums. The reverse saturable absorption (RSA) at 532 nm is observed in all the solutions and it depends on the reduction of dye aggregation and solvent polarity in solutions. The nonlinear refractive index in different solvents shows negative sign. The nonlinear refractive index values are enhanced in microemulsion compared to other solvent that it depends on the reduction of thermal conductivity. The effect of Amino Acid concentration in the nonlinear optical properties of Methylene Blue is studied.
