Abstract
Due to the lack of hydraulic-hydrological data and sufficient statistical length for some regions, using software models have errors for flood modeling and zoning. Therefore, models that do not require much hydraulic-hydrological data is necessary. Using the geomorphological indexes (GI) is a suitable method under data-scare conditions for flood zoning. This method is used based on the Digital Elevation Model (DEM). In this study, the 100-year flood zoning was discussed in the Kashafroud basin. The results showed that using GI had highly accurate and provided acceptable results for flood zoning in the studied area. The results indicated that a significant part of the crop and built areas will be affected by a 100-year flood in this basin
