This paper investigates the importance and accuracy of a family of high-order triangular elements. After a brief review of characteristics of high-order triangular elements, six new incompatible 13-node triangular elements are presented. The accuracy of the proposed elements is illustrated by comparing their numerical results with the other investigators solutions, and the best element is introduced.
