In this talk, we are going to survey structures of the Schur multiplier, nilpotent and polynilpotent multipliers (the Baer invariant with respect to nilpotent and polynilpotent varieties, respectively) of nilpotent products of groups, specially the direct and the free products. This survey is from the beginning works of I. Schur to the recent developments in the area.
