The comparison between wrestler s athletic self - concept participating in 2006 Asian s Games (Qatar) Abstract: The purpose of this research is the comparison between Elite athlete self concept of wrestlers who were participated in 2006 Asian s Games (Qatar). Statistical populations were all wrestlers who were participated in 2006 Asian s Games Qatar (N= 106). The 93 wrestlers with average age of (22.77 ±4.312) completed Elite Athlete Self Description questionnaire (EASDQ). Method of research is causal – comparative. At first for data collection, EASDQ that include 29 items and six scales (such as Skill, Body, Aerobic, Anaerobic, Mental and Overall performance) translated to Persian, Arabic, Russian, Japanese and Korean, then is validated. At first day, these questionnaires were given before beginning of the games and were collected data. Then for analysis of data it has been used from ANOVA & Correlation. The results indicated that athletic self-concept of wrestlers in 2006 Asian s Games (Qatar) is differed from each other (p= .000; F= 7.218). Countries (such as, Iran, Iraq and Syria) had the most athletic self concept and Uzbek the least athletic self concept respectively. The correlation between Athletic self-concept and age was not significant (P=.129; rxy=.166). The difference between athletic self-concept and athletic levels was significant (P=.000; F= 21.09). Olympics and world s athlete had most self-concept. However, the difference between athletic self-concept and performance in this game was not significant.
