Abstract
A new equation of state recently reported for pure liqs. has been extended to predict the volumetric and thermodn. properties of 10 binary mixts. and 1 ternary liq. mixt. at different temps., pressures, and compns. A wide comparison with literature exptl. data shows the ability of this equation of state to reproduce and predict different volumetric and thermodn. properties of liq. mixts. For the binary and ternary mixts., the compn. dependences of the parameters of the equation of state are assumed as quadratic functions of mole fraction. Using these mixing rules, the agreement between the calcd. and exptl. densities is better than 0.8 % for binary mixts. and 3.1 % for ternary mixts.
