چکیده
During a faunistic survey of Citrus trees from 2000 to 2002 in Gorgan (Golestan province) in Iran, a number of severely nematode-infected slugs, Parmacella iberica (Limacidae) were collected in March 2001. Specimens were transferred to laboratory and using key in Andrassy (1979), this nematode was identified as a Rhabditidae in the subfamily Pleodorinae. This pathogen has been identified as Phasmarhabditis hermaphrodita. This is the first record of the genus from Iran. The genus Phasmarhabditis has five described species collected from Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe in terrestrial and marine habitats.
