Transfer and accumulation of novel DNA and/or proteins in food for human consumption derived from animals receiving genetically modified (GM) feed could be a potential risk. Thefore the use of GM foods should be regulated by the authorities. In the present study, the presence of GM foods was examined in a few poultry diets. The 35 S primers employed in this assay were selected based on published articles. In all samples, except negative control, the expected PCR product with the size of 194 bp was observed. The result has to be confirmed by nucleotide sequence analysis
