Abstract In this work the alumina nanoparticles are synthesized with polymerizing-complexing sol-gel process which includes aim of ethylene glycol and citric acid as the polymer and complex agents, respectively. Characterization of nanopowder was also done by XRD, TEM, UV-Vis spectroscopy and measurement of dielectric constant. Nanoparticles distribution are uniform and blew 10nm.We found that gamma phase was formed above 750oC. the UV-Vis spectra shows γ-Al2o3 broadening band gap of about 5-6 ev and dielectric constant is about 8-10.
