Abstract

In this paper, two types of dynamic models, lumped and distributed, were developed for an industrial four-effect falling-film evaporator which is used to concentrating whole milk. The predictions of each model are compared to industrial data. The results showed that the predictions of distributed model have better agreement with industrial data rather than lumped model. Although in predictions of some variables, these models have the same performances.
