Abstract
We introduce the notion of ¾-amenability in the context of Banach algebras as an extension of the ordinary notion of amenability. As an illustration by de¯ning the concept of ¾-Connes-amenability we show that each ¾-centralizable and Connes- amenable von Neumann algebra is ¾-Connes-amenable for every surjective linear map- ping ¾.
