Abstract
DNA was extracted from J2 and eggs using the methodology described by Joyce et al. (1994). Each PCR product was digested with the restriction enzyme MvaI. Procedures for obtaining PCR amplified products and endonuclease digestion were repeated at least twice. The restriction patterns obtained with MvaI were similar in all the 20 H. schachtii populations which means that molecular intraspecific polymorphism was not detected in these populations.
