Culture is a broad concept that embraces a variety of different aspects of human life. While the need for research on culture, acculturation, and deculturation and also their importance in foreign language learning is ever increasing all around the world, unfortunately, these fields of study have not received their due attention in Iran. Many students believe that the closer they become to the foreign culture, the more successful language learners and eventually language users they will be. But the question is, would all these students efforts in trying to imitate the foreign behavior and cultural aspects alienate and deculturate them from their home culture? Would different foreign languages bring about the same degree of deculturation for students? To the best of the researchers knowledge, nobody has constructed a questionnaire to determine the level of attachment of B.A. students of foreign languages and literature to their home culture. Therefore, the main aim of this study was to design and validate such a questionnaire; also, to check some of the applications of the questionnaire.
