This paper presents the results of an initial assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of supplement solar thermal adsorption systems for medium building in the Iran. Solar thermal dsorption cooling systems use chillers powered by solar energy rather than natural gas, hot water and steam. Many factors may position solar thermal adsorption cooling systems as a competitive alternative to onventional natural gas, hot water and steam driven air condition. Initial assessment results show that solar thermal cooling systems are feasible in many areas of Iran. Because the temperature requirement for the cycle falls into the low – to – moderate temperature rang. And there is significant potential for energy saving adsorption chiller would seem to be a good prosper for application.Measurement data such output cooling water, cop of the adsorption chiller with boundary condition like cooling temperatures and solar radiation are presented. Initial assessment results show that solar thermal cooling systems are feasible in many areas of Iran.
