Abstract
Transferrins comprise a class of monomeric glycoproteins found in all vertebrates, whose function is iron sequestration and transport. Aspirin , acetylsalicylic acid used as an analgesic and antipyretic to relieve minor aches and pains. The interaction between Holo-transferrin and aspirin was investigated using fluorescence spectroscopy. The Fluorescence spectra was measured with spectrofluorimeter. The excitation wavelength was 280 nm, and the emission spectrum was read at 300-700 nm. Then the binding capacity, n=1.1 and binding constant, K =1.06×10-4 can be calculated from the plot of teta(the fraction of occopied binding sites by drug) versus [D]t/[P]t and the Hill plot, respectively.
