The society of Iran is a religious one, and religion has an incontrovertible role in all areas of Iranian social life. After occurrence of Islamic revolution and formation of apolitical system based on religious thought(Islamic republic) in 1978,religion agency is highly increased in Iranian social and political life. The endeavor for adjusting religion with modern circumstances led to various forms of religiosity in Iran,and confronting religious thought with new challenges.So much that we could claim transformation and opposition in field of religiosity especially between two main groups of traditional and modern religiosity are the most important challenges of Iran society. In this paper we try to accomplish a secondary analysis on the data of a large national survey in Iran conducted in 28 centers of provinces in 2004, and studying opposition and interference of both kinds of traditional and modern religiosity in different social layers in this country.In this study modern religiosity compared in three dimensions of tendency toward apolitical religion(secularism),religious tolerance and religious inclusion,and also traditional religiosity compared in three dimensions of faith,ritual and experimental among various age,educational,income, occupational,ethnic levels and religious ramifications(shi\\\'ite /sunnite)then with performing a cluster analysis the main groups of traditional and modern religiosity in Iran are introduced.
