Abstract
A Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) fed by Dielectric Image Line (DIL) is numerically investigated using Method of Moment (MoM). Using field extension in different regions by modal expansion method, antenna impedance matrix and its return loss are calculated. Then RDRA structure with infinite and finite ground plane are studied based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) using Ansoft HFSS commercial software and results is compared with those obtained by MoM. Results show a good agreement using both methods.
