Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to comparison of dynamic equilibrium function in pregnant women before and after delivery. For this reason, 39 volunteer women 24-28 years old had been classified to one experimental group consist of 13 pregnant women (30-39 weeks of gestation) and two control groups consist of 13 pregnant women ((11-14 weeks of gestation) and 13 none pregnant women. The experimental group had been followed until 6 week postpartum. All subjects had been homogenous in age, height, weight, BMI. Posturography of foot, first delivery, natural delivery, body balance systems (Vestibular, Proprioceptive and Visual) and mental health. Dynamic equilibrium function measured through biodex system and data analyzed with employing of Paired sample t, Independed t, ANOVA and Tukey Post Hoc tests. The results revealed that for the experimental group, limit of stability in 3rd trimester (32.15± 15.21) was less than 6 week postpartum (45.84±15.31) and also there was significant increase in limit of stability after delivery (t= -4.42, P= 0.001). There was a significant difference between pregnant group and control groups (P < 0.05). Results suggest that postural equilibrium decline during pregnancy and remain diminished at 6 weeks after delivery.
