Abstract Evapotranspiration can be measured directly by using remote sensing images, but recently some methods are developed to estimate evapotranspiration temporally and spatially. We used Landsat images to combine with classical methods in order of estimating actual evapotranspiration over a catchment. The Energy balance and the Hargraves formula were selected for this calculation. Some techniques were also used to calculate surface temperature, air temperature and sensible heat over the catchment. The models along with the techniques were used to calculate actual evapotranspiration for each individual pixel over the catchment.
