Abstract
Nanotechnology, the design, measuring, modeling, and manipulation of materials at the nanoscale, has the potential to deliver considerable benefits to society. The properties of materials change as their size approaches the nanoscale since the percentage of atoms at the surface of a material becomes significant. The novel properties of nanaomaterials open the door to innovations in energy, environmental remediation, electronics, biomedical applications, etc. Our research group focus on physics, chemistry, and applications of nanostructured materials, an ideal starting point for multidisciplinary science where chemical synthesis and processing techniques are combined with the characterization and application of physical properties...
