Title : ( Synthesis and characterization of aluminum particles coated with nano scale Ni shells )

A preferable bath composition for Electroless deposition of Ni on the surface of aluminum particles presented. Effect of bath parameters such level of PH, dipping time and bath temperature on the plating rate, thickness, morphology and chemical composition of Ni cated layers investigated. According to the optimization analysis, PH of 9.5, temperature of 80°C, and 30min of dipping were chosen as the optimum EN bath composition. Characterization of coated particles was performed by the means of SEM, EDX, TEM and XRD. The results show that a continuous layer of about 30nm Ni is deposited on the surfaces of Al particles.
