Abstract

Phosphoramidic acid esters have attracted attention owing to their synthetic and biological values [1,2]. These compounds were used as O-donor ligands in the reaction with small and hard metal cations [3]. Our interest in the chemistry of these compounds led us to investigate their structural and spectroscopic features. In this study, two compounds with the formula (C6H5OP)2(O)[4-F-C6H5CH2NH] (1) and (C6H5O)2P(O)[NHCH2C6H5CH2NH]P(O)(OC6H5)2 (2) have been synthesized and charactrized by 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, IR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray determination. The major aim of the present work is the study of 2,3J(P,X) coupling constants (X = H, C) and the pattern of hydrogen bonds and comparision of structural and spectroscopic features with analogous compounds. Single crystal X-ray analysis shows that 1 belongs to monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c and 2 triclinic system, space group P-1. Both molecules form 1D chain in crystal lattic. Molecules in 1 and 2 are linked via N—H•••O═P hydrogen bonds into extended 1D chains parallel to the c and b axis, respectively.
