Abstract
We present a novel, convenient, and efficient method for synthesizing polysubstituted 4H-pyrano[3,2-d]isoxazoles based on a three-component reaction. The zwitterions generated from the reaction of isocyanides and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates are reacted with 3-phenylisoxazol-4-(5H)-one to produce the title compounds in good yield.
