Pectobacterium is one of the important pathogenic agents in wide rage of ornamental plant species. Heterogeny in phenotypic features of species and subspecies of this genus in comparison to reference isolates, limits the accurate identification. A collection of representative isolates causing leaf spot in different ornamental plants from northern greenhouses were examined for 16s gene of rDNA, mdh and gapA. DNA was extracted from specimens using a Genomic DNA Purification kit. The three loci were amplified using related primers. Fragments of each locus recovered from PCR, purified, sequenced, edited and deposited in the GeneBank. The sequences generated in this study compared to those of other related authentic taxa obtained from GeneBank. Pectobacterium isolates placed in separate cluster based on 16S rDNA gene nucleotide sequences. Also denderogram based on mdh and gapA nucleotide sequences confirmed this cluster as unique group. There is not any relation among phylogeny, host specificity and geographical origin. In order to complete description of this group, complementary tests are being done.
