Abstract
This paper reports an experimental study on volumetric thermal expansion coefficient of CuO/ turbine oil nanofluids, which were dispersed in oil by sonication. In the present study oil-based copper oxide nanofluids with various concentrations from 0 to %0.8 weight fraction ,are used. The averaged particle size of copper oxide is about 60 nm. The volumetric thermal expansion coefficient is a important physical property, which plays an major role in many heat removal systems by natural convection. The volumetric thermal expansion coefficient (β) of metallic oxide particles is usually negligible as compared to that of base fluid
