Abstract
Abstract— Recently we have proposed a generalized Hammerstein equalization technique (GHE) to mitigate the intersymbol interference (ISI) effects in linear frequency selective channels. This technique is a nonlinear generalization of a linear equalizer, in which the higher orders of the signal at each tap is used for equalization. In the present work, we employ GHE technique for frequency selective fading channels with different fading models. Moreover, we investigate the effects of different power delay profiles on the performance of GHE. The advantages of our proposed technique over a linear equalizer are discussed in detail using the simulation results.
