Abstract

The impact of nanoparticle size effects on kinetics of iron FTS catalyst, is discussed. For producing a series of iron oxides particle size, Fe/Cu/La catalysts were prepared via two processing routes, bulk precipitation and microemulsion. In microemulsion system, the produced catalyst particle size was changed with selecting different surfactant as SDS, Triton x-100 and SDBS. Size dependence of FTS rate expression is evaluated by using the produced catalysts. With fitting the experimental data from our catalysts, we estimate the size independent parameters ;, χ and A as 15.1, 0.54 and 1.26, respectively. Also, the results show that FTS reaction rate for iron catalyst passed from a maximum value that equal to 14 nm.
