The imidazole moiety is present in a wide range of naturally occurring molecules 1 .Imidazoleshave important roles in biological systems and are categorized as fungicides, herbicides 2 , plant growth regulators 3 . and therapeutic agents 4 . Thiadiazine is incorporated into many important biological and medicinal compounds. This ring exhibit properties such as antiviral, antiprotozoal, antiparastic, antidiabetic, antiherpes 5,6 . Due to their wide range of biological, industrial, and synthetic applications, in this study, we reportthe synthesis of new derivatives of imidazo[2,1-b]pyrimido[5,4-e][1,3,4]thiadiazine 3(a-e) from the reaction of 5-boromo-2,4-dichloro-6-methyl pyrimidine (1) and 1Himidazole-2-thiol (2) in the presence of Et3N at room temperature. Substitution of chlorine atom at position 2 with various secondary amines in boiling ethanol, followed by heterocyclization of the resulting products with NaNH2 in CH3CN furnished the 3 desired products 3(a-e) (Scheme 1).
