Abstract

In recent years, considerable interest has been focused on the synthesis ofα- aminophosphonates, because they are considered to be structural analogues of the corresponding α-aminoacids. In these connections, important utilitiesofα - aminophosphonates as anti cancer ,antibiotics and pharmacologic agentsare well documented [1-2]. Herein,a three-component synthesis of α-aminophosphonate is described from a reactionbetween aldehydes, 2-aminobenzothiazole, and diethyl phosphite in the presence of FHS as a catalyst under solvent-free conditions for the generation of the particular α- aminophosphonates. These products have two potentially biologically active parts, α- aminophosphonate and benzothiazole. This method offers advantages such as short reaction times, good yields, solvent-free conditions, and easy workup with the green aspects by avoiding toxic catalysts and solvents. The α-aminophosphonates have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR (1H, 13C and 31P) spectra (Scheme 1).
