Abstract: Project Control Problem consists of monitoring the project progress at some control points, finding possible deviations from the base schedule and if necessary, making some adjustments to the deviated schedule subject to the budgets, the existing recovering policies and the other environmental and technical possibilities in order to bring the schedule back on the right track. In this study and for the first time we adopt the Maximum Covering Location Model to find the timings of control points such that the maximum control coverage is achieved, i.e. within the given constraints achieving a schedule which is globally as close to the base schedule as possible. A numerical example illustrates the proposed solution procedure.
