In the course of a survey on coccinellid fauna in Mashhad and vicinity during 2011-2012, some parasitized pupae of Coccinella septempunctataLINNAEUS1758 were collected. Adults of Phalacrotophora fasciata FALLÉN1823 a dipteran parasitoid emerged from those pupae, that represented new records of the genus and species from Iran.
