Abstract
New bis-heterocyclic thiadiazine derivatives containing a tetrazole nucleus have been synthesised by simple, high yielding routes and characterised by FT‑IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectral analysis. The key step in the construction of the sixsubstituted 7H‑tetrazolo[5,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazine derivatives involved the cyclocondensation of sodium 1‑amino-1H-tetrazole-5-thiolate with α‑haloketones. The radical scavenging activity of the new tetrazolothiadiazines was also investigated.
