Abstract

Pyrazole and fused heterocyclic pyrazole derivatives constute an interesting class of heterocycles due to their synthetic versatility and effective biological activities [1-2]. Pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidinederivatives have been found to possess antitumor and antileukemia activity [3]. Multistep synthesis from ‘ethyl 5-amino-4-cyano-1H-pyrazole-1-carboxylate’ with some organic reagents produces ‘1,1'-carbonylbis(6-methyl-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4(7H)-one)’ in which R1= H,CH3,SCH3 and R2= H,CH3,SCH3,Ph,CH2CH3.
