Abstract
In this paper, we have studied proportional orderings as extended versions of their associated usual orderings. Some new properties and applications of them are obtained in reliability theory. Finally, we have discussed conditions for preservation of this orderings by weighted distributions. Some examples are also given to illustrate the results.
